Where your data lives — and why it's private

GudMem is built so that nothing about the people you're learning leaves your device.

No account, no sign-up. You never create a login, so there's no profile of you anywhere.

On-device only. Photos, names, notes and voice recordings live in the app's private storage on your phone. Face detection and all processing happen on the device.

No analytics, no tracking. We don't measure what you do in the app, and we can't see who you are.

The few things that do use the network — all by your choice:

• "From the web" import fetches just the one page you point it at.
• Help & support loads these help pages inside the app.
• Sending feedback transmits your message, the email address you optionally give, and five basic device details (app version, build number, OS version, device model, language) to our own Swiss-hosted feedback service — and is technically prevented from ever carrying names, photos or anything else from your groups.

That's what makes GudMem a good fit even for photos of children: the sensitive part never travels.
