Record how a name sounds
Some names are easy to mispronounce. GudMem lets you save the correct pronunciation — in the person's own voice, or yours.
Open a person's detail screen and tap the audio button next to their name. Record it, play it back, and re-record or delete it any time.
Sessions stay silent unless you ask. GudMem never plays audio on its own during practice — you might be studying on the train. When an answer is revealed, a small speaker chip appears next to the name; tap it to hear the recording.
The Listening drill. Once a group has three or more recordings, a Listening entry appears on the group screen: you hear a name and pick the matching face. It's the one place GudMem plays audio automatically — you chose a listening exercise, after all.
Recordings stay on this device in private storage. They're never uploaded, and they're included when you make an encrypted backup, so they move with you to a new device.
